About the Experience

Cost:	£20

Start:
Arrival is from 9:30am with a plan to start promptly at 10:00am.

Location:
We will be in the Community Trust Academy Buildings at the Madejeski Stadium.
Follow Signs for the Madejski stadium and when you arrive, the stadium will be on your right hand side. Continue straight towards the mini-roundabout and turn left towards the porta-cabin buildings. We will be based here, so look out for the Drivestart Flags.

Arrival:
When students arrive they will need to sign themselves in and if not already done so, their parent or guardian will need to fill out a permissions form.

Lunch:
Lunch is not provided, so all attendees will need to bring their own packed lunch, however light refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The Day:
The full day will include a number of skills based workshops to help develop and guide the students into becoming better drivers. As part of this they will receive two sessions behind the wheel, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We expect this to be approximately 15 minutes each.
The workshops will include;
• How to apply for a license, the highway code and the tests you will need to pass
• Hazard Perception
• How to operate a vehicle, and what manoeuvres make up part of the test
• The costs of owning a car
• Vehicle Maintenance
• Scene Management; First Aid

End:
The day will draw to a close at 15:00

If you are under the age of 18, then you will need to have a parent or guardian complete this permissions form. This can be brought with you on the day, or emailed back to us directly.
If you are over the age of 18, then no permissions form is required.
